SYNTHETIC BIOLOGY

Developing biomimicking systems or biological systems using chemical and physical materials has been well known for decades.

The disease processes when analysed thread bare and their mechanisms and solutions when replaced by chemical and physical materials, has been helping us solve many illnesses. Simple artificial biomimicking devices such as prosthetic knee to pacemakers to bionic eyes to artificial DNA are included in this list.

Artificial prostheses are possible. How about an artificial mind? The theory of natural selection of multi-trillion mechanism based complex reproductory pathways and development processes when simplified and reproduced by non-natural choices, wont they end up in a monotonous and a world of boredom of many similar looking-thinking-behaving-acting- biological living beings without much excitement? This question can be answered only when the inherent wisdom of the nature in a form and composition unaltered by unatural inputs especially by human beings is studied and understood thoroughly.
